    Staying organized

Before the cancer hit, I was juggling 1000 things, literally.  After the diagnosis, I needed to simplify my life and not pass the management burdens to my family…I did not give up too many things I managed, but I did pull in a beloved set of helpers that each love what they do, and enjoy stepping in to help.  Thank you all!

But staying organized is always top of my list!  I’ve got lists, calendars, plans, and reminders everywhere to stay on track.  And right now, it’s all around ensuring I balance it all.  So I track the time I spend with the girls, my husband, us as the immediate family and with the whole family…of course in addition to our marketing agency work which I’m so passionate for.

Writing about this as I find it such an important thing for everyone.  If you are someone that needs to keep on top of rounds and rounds of doctor appointments, the prep for each one or to make sure you schedule rest days before and after as needed, keep a calendar.  Jot a list down in one place.  Keep reminders by person or project in paper or in an electronic device.  Have a calendar that keeps all your appointments in one place…for doctor visits, business and of course pleasure!

My key point here:  Keep it on paper or elsewhere to keep your mind free :)
