    Bit of a down day

As you know, CancerByTheDay.com is my personal journey shared with you all.

From sharing highs to lows, it’s a story to help you feel close to us where ever you are and for all the strangers to gain insights to help them on their journey.

So in the midst of all the upbeat posts, comes today…..quite an emotional down day for me. No particular reason, it’s sort of a “tears flow” and I just let them go pattern.

A close friend did give me a heads up in advance, that it often happens usually after weeks meds have set in and weaning down starts to occur.

In what I know is with great cleansing power, I’ve had more rounds of tears today than any other day. So let’s c’mon April’s showers …bring on a better May! :)

Just checking on your progress and thought I should post a comment. My mother had her mastectomy when she was 35 years old. Her 38 year old sister had passed away the prior year of ovarian cancer. I was 12 at the time and remember there were days when she would just sit in a chair the entire day, paralyzed with fear and shock. I guess I’m trying to tell you tears are completely normal, Sue. Hang in there, we’re all with you cheering you on!

I hope tomorrow is much better for you! You have so many people by your side and they will be there to help pick you up.

While we were invited along for the day by day, much of this road you will travel alone. We are awestruck by your depth and honesty.
Yesterday you needed your rest, today you need your tears. It is in these times when faced with the reality of it, your courage glows strongest and brightest.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow said Into each life some rain must fall, some days be dark and dreary. All I can tell you dear friend is that you have stood shoulder to shoulder with me in some of my darkest moments, and I stand with you now, until your sunhine comes up again.
I know you don’t need cheering up and before I hit the send button you will say you’re starting to feel better, but I love you for really telling us how it is, and I hope it is healing for you to let it out.

Sorry to hear you’re having a bit of a down day…you know you’re going to have them, but still they’re no fun when you’re going through them. You know the song “The sun’ll come out tomorrow….” can’t you hear Annie singing it?? (Be happy I’m not singing it for you!! – LOL!) Hopefully the sun will come out for you tomorrow….if not, it will be the next day…or the next day…hang in there, sweetie!!

    • Bridget says:

Well, you wouldn’t be human if you didn’t have a down day or two. What makes you YOU is coming on back from a down day with a new goal and something to look forward to…Good luck on your 50, Sue. You’re such an over achiever, you’re gonna shoot for 100, aren’t you????

    • Gretchen says:

You make me smile, laugh and cry all in about a millisecond. Reminds me of college! Love you like a sister, hope your day with your neice was hysterical and amazing.

    • ANNA, pAUL AND hAYDEN says:

Crying burns calories and is good to prevent wrinkles around the eyes.
Letting go feels good. You’ll wake up feeling refreshed tomorrow. XO
