    Our “Two Way” Site

The link to this site is now public as you may have seen through an email.  My diagnosis is not easy news to hear, but I want to ensure everyone that I’m in complete control.

The last few months I’ve taken a completely methodical approach – mentally, emotionally and spiritually to get a grip. Those that I’ve been able to see and speak to, know the amazing position of strength in which I stand right now.  I’m not just doing good marketing :)  It’s already a story worth telling and I hope it helps many now and many to come.

This site will help us keep in touch with so many of you especially over the next few months, and to make it a two way communication vechicle, please leave a comment by the link below any post as much as you’d like!

A comment added generates a note to a central location —when I am up for reading it, or having them read to me— that will be priceless in the upcoming days and weeks, so I look forward to hearing from you.

Sue and Bruce, I read a book to Chloe some time ago called Have You Filled a Bucket Today? It makes me think of you. You are BUCKET FILLERS. When the chips are down for others goal number 1 for Team Ennis is propping them up. You are best at sharing laughter, easy and quick with compliments, kind gestures, appreciation. This website is another testament to your nature comforting others, showing your strength, optimism, and wanting us to share that. I look forward to this surgery behind you and your being cancer free. Prayers and love are with you.

      Dearest Sue,

I am so sorry that we have not been in contact much since we moved out to HK (and now Singapore) and that so much time has passed. It is unfortunate that our first contact in a long time is triggered by your unfortunate news. I confess that I fought back the tears when I heard your news and I fought back even more tears when I read your posts through this amazing website. I cried because I felt sad that someone so wonderful as you can be affected by something like this, but I also felt so moved by the unbelievably positive attitude by which you choose to deal with the situation. You and Bruce have always been so inspirational to me on so many different levels, your commitment to each other, your kindness and respect to others as well as to each other, your incredibly positive and strong spirit in every situation. This list is by no means exhaustive and these qualities come through even during this difficult and painful time of your lives. I know that your website will bring optimism, support, strength to the women in the same situation and I am sure your words will definitely help them during some of their darkest hours/days/weeks and help them feel less alone. My cousin (whom you met at our wedding in Connecticut) who has 3 young children was also diagnosed with breast cancer last year and she went on to have a double masectomy shortly after that the discovery of this. She is 38 years old and is doing remarkably well today and has a much more positive outlook on life than she ever had before. She in her own words no longer ’sweats the little things’ and ’stops to smell the roses’ as we say. She and you are truly inspirational women in my eyes. She, and I am sure you as well, draw your strength from your incredible family and particularly your young girls who will one day know what their wonderful and beautiful mummy has gone through and they will draw strength and inspiration from your experience. This journey and the way you are dealing with it, can only bring your family closer together and we pray for your continued strength and positive spirits. We love you so very much and we hope to share more with you through this forum. I am sorry for the long post but just can not tell you enough how truly amazing you are which is not a surprise to anyone who really knows and understands you.

ps: your post on ‘The Beauty of Daughters’ moved me deeply. Your vulnerability and sadness came across in such a beautifully touching way. Please continue to share even on days when you only feel up to writing a line.

      Love you lots,
      Laura

Oh gosh my lovelies, what a journey you’re having! First of all, Sue, you are a complete inspiration, not only to your 2 beautiful daughters and fantastic husband (!), but to those of us on the outside of all of this. To be faced with this incredible challenge and be so positive and uplifting is truly a blessing and a gift that so few have in this world.. you are a true angel.
To have created this website is completely staggering to me.. mainly because I am so technically challenged (!!!), but I know that you are gathering all sorts of strengths by doing this and creating an awareness and showing a positivity that everything WILL be okay.
I know that you have an amazing inner strength and a beautiful light surrounding you.. as soon as you smile it radiates out of you!
As you may know, I’ll be walking in New York at the Revlon Walk for Women’s Cancers on May 1, and you will be on my chest… not literally of course, but your name will on a bib!!
Bruce okay-ed it, as I’m sure you know.
And I will send you the photos from the event.

And of course I haven’t forgotten about you Bruce! I know that it is not only Sue who has been going through the heartache, tears, and challenges, and I know that you are a tower of strength, and have to keep the fort going at home… how are your vacuuming skills now? Lol.

You are both amazing people, and only good things will come from this journey.. I can feel it.

Which only leaves me to say that I love you both… you are constantly in my thoughts and prayers, especially over the next few days.

      All my love,
      Angela.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

      Sue –

You continue to be an inspiration. First, candidly, the website is fantastic! You’re even Google ad supported, I love it! :)

But more importantly is how positive and uplifting your messages are. There’s so much I’ve learned by reading them all. Thanks for doing this so all of us can be with you on this journey. You’re already stronger for it and I know you’re going to continue to do amazing things.

As I was reading different posts the visitor counter was quickly ticking higher and it was monumental to be reading your messages along with all the people who care about you.

You, Bruce and the girls are in our thoughts and prayers and can’t wait for a reunion up in CT. :)

      Love ya!
      Matt

Dear Sue, Bruce and the girls. I was thinking about you yesterday and how we owe you a visit…. can’t believe your news, but I’m so glad that you’re being positive and choosing to make it an experience rather than an ordeal. You guys are truly amazing (that phrase is probably now really overused – but soooo true!) We all love you and will be thinking about you tomorrow. I will say prayers and get my sister on the case (she has a hotline upstairs, or so she tells me). Love to all of you and please pick up the phone if you ever need a moan/ giggle/ or long distance hug ;o) Keep smiling if you can and we’ll all have a toast to your good health in Banbury when you’re up to it.
      Maggie, Dave and Indie xxxxx
